Leading Crisis Communication scholars visiting Aalto BIZ
17.12.2012 Professors Finn Frandsen and Winni Johansen from Aarhus University, Centre for Corporate Communication(http://bcom.au.dk/research/academicareas/ccc/) visited the Department of Communication in November. They are experienced researchers and teachers in corporate communication and world leading scholars in crisis communication, and we were very happy to have them in Helsinki for four weeks!
New publication: Visual Chitchat
21.11.2012 Mikko Villi, who works as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Communication has published an article on visual interpersonal communication in the journal Interactions: Studies in Communication & Culture (2012, volume 3, number 1).

Professor A. Fuat Firat joins the Department of Communication as Distinguished Visiting Professor
15.08.2012 Professor A. Fuat Firat will join the Department of Communication as Distinguished Visiting Professor, starting September 1 2012. Professor Firat is one of the founding fathers of postmodern and critical marketing and consumer research and he continues to be one of the most cited scholars in the broader field of marketing and consumer research.
Celebration in the honor of new communication graduates in Spring 2012

New Publication: Consumer workers in the converging media markets
07.06.2012 Johanna Moisander, a faculty member of the Department of Communication, has just published an article on consumer work with Saara Könkkölä and Pikka-Maaria Laine. The article was published in International Journal of Consumer Studies and it deals with the strategic and productive roles that consumers play as immaterial labour or consumer workers in the converging media markets.
