An Engaging Visit from Baruch/New York

14.01.2013

Professor Sana Reynolds from Baruch/City University New York visited the Department of Communication in early January. She was invited to Aalto BIZ under the auspices of LSR Nyberg’s International Visitors’ Program to run an intensive three-day workshop for the students of the Intercultural Business Communication course on 9-11 Jan. In addition to our own Master’s  students, three students participated through the Communicum collaboration (see : https://wiki.aalto.fi/display/communic/Communicum .

Sana has over 25 years of consulting and teaching experience on intercultural communication with multinational corporations and a number of universities, in particular in Asia. She has also co-authored text books on the topic published by Prentice Hall.

In addition to running the workshop for the students, Sana also gave an open lecture titled “Cultural intelligence and its implications for business and academics”.

The students enjoyed Sana’s teaching, which is well reflected in the picture below, taken on the final day of the workshop with the students.
