“Choreography for chaos” - IBC Graduate Nina Korhonen co-wrote a book on business process modelling for corporate communications
03.06.2011
Two years ago, Nina Korhonen graduated from the IBC Program. Her Thesis was an exploration into a new area in corporate communication as she investigated the use of business process thinking in the corporate communication units of Finnish companies.
The explorations continued after graduation and on Monday morning, May 2, the result was released at a book launch party at Talentum Café in the center of Helsinki. Talentum Publishing House published Viestinnän prosessointi. Koreografia kaaokselle (in English: Communications processing - Choreography for chaos) by Nina Korhonen and Reetta Rajala, another graduate from Aalto ECON.
In addition to arguing convincingly for business process thinking in communications, the book also manages to indicate the significance of communication in present day business operations. Building on Nina’s Master’s Thesis, the book has a theoretical basis but it is written for business practice. The many examples and interview quotations from communications directors and CEO’s assure the reader of the added value of process modelling and its suitability for the communication function.
Congratulations, Nina and Reetta!
