Master’s Program in Corporate Communication

The Master's Program in Corporate Communication provides students with knowledge, skills, and competences that are needed for managing

  • corporate communications
  • strategy work and strategic change
  • stakeholder relations

in contemporary digital media environments.

NB There is no new student intake into this program after 2017. From 2018 onwards, Organizational Communication will a specialisation path in the MSc program in Management and International Business

 

Study Experience

The Master's Program in Corporate Communication Program offers  professional and academic competences within such specific areas as leadership communication, employee communication, investor relations, issues management, and change and crisis communication. In particular, the two-year program develops the expertise needed in managing international corporate communications, managing internal and external stakeholder relations and participating in corporate strategy work. On the world scale, the program is unique in its combination of international business, management and communication.

In all course work we emphasize problem-based learning activities and practice the skills needed for a variety of multicultural and multilingual situations. Communications professionals from globally operating companies and other organizations visit classes and engage in discussions and case activities with students. An in-depth academic Master’s Thesis study and the practice oriented Capstone Business Development project are among the highlights of the second year.

In addition to a wide variety of communication courses, the program includes minor studies of your choice (e.g. a business subject such as management, marketing or finance or a multidisciplinary Minor, such as Creative Sustainability or International Design Business Management). Furthermore, Aalto University is highly internationally oriented, and the master’s student may choose an international study module as a minor, completed in one of the Aalto partner schools including top-ranked universities around the world.
